Ph.D
Title: ‘Evaluation of Hepatoprotective Activity of Some Medicinal Plants on Albino Wistar Rats’
Description: The present research work consists investigation of antioxidant and hepatoprotective activity of various extracts like petroleum ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate and ethanolic solvent of seeds of Mucuna pruriens (MP), Whole plant of Phyllanthus niruri (PN), fruits of Phyllanthus emblica (PE), stem of Swertia chirata (SC), Seeds of Gossypium herbaceum (GH), roots of Ecbolium viride (EV), stem bark of Ficus mollis (FM) and polyherbal preparation (PHP). Amongst all the PHP extracts the ethanolic extracts was found to be better in all cases which significantly improves hepatoprotective activity and prevents hepatotoxicity. PHP showed synergistic activity when compared with that of individual plants.

Title: “Anti diabetic activity of a poly herbal preparation in alloxan induced diabetic rats”
Description: The current research concludes that, Poly herbal preparation based on acute toxicity studies is safe at the decided dose level of 200 mg/kg and 400 mg/kg of body weight, reduced the elevated BGL, AST, ALT, lipid peroxidation and biochemical parameters in diabetic rats. Further studies are needed to explore their role in diabetic complications and to establish the various mechanisms by which the extracts prevented oxidative stress in diabetes.
B. Pharmacy
Title: ‘Preparation and evaluation of Gliclazide Microcapsules’
Description: Gliclazide is used as an oral hypo glycemic agent. Microcapsules of the drug were prepared by using ethyl cellulose and HPMC. Physical properties and Dissolution studies were conducted and were found to be extended release for a period of 12 – 15 hrs.
INDUSTRIAL EXPOSURE
· Underwent intensive industrial training in various departments of Production of oral Solutions, suspensions, Tablets, Capsules Quality control, Quality assurance and Packaging in Yeluri formulations and Supra Pharmaceuticals, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
