Hamid Farangis Zadeh
Dr Hamid Farangis Zadeh is a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and faculty member of the Petroleum Engineering Department since 2014.
Hamid completed his PhD at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany) in 2005 and his undergraduate studies at Friedrich-Alexander University (Germany) and Sharif University of Technology (Iran). His research interests lie in the area of Experimental Fluid Mechanics, Transport Phenomena on microscale, Micro Eelectro Mechanical Systems, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and Aerodynamics. In recent years, he has focused numerically on Thermo-fluid phenomena on micro scale and he has collaborated actively with researches in industries in several other disciplines of measurements and control, particularly with respect to Energy and Water.
Teaching Philosophy
I am interested in teaching since I strongly believe that exchanging knowledge and transferring it to future generations are the most important obligations among humankind’s responsibilities, and only good teachers can carry these out. Simply saying, one must teach what s/he has learned!
I think the control of students’ thirstiness for learning is the art of those instructors with high standards who initially satisfy but finally intensify this willingness. I believe that scientific career is not achievable without excellent professors accompanies.
Therefore, teaching is an endless process, which always offers opportunities not only to make experts from inexperienced students, but also to keep teachers’ researches and knowledge up-to-date.
