I hold a Ph.D. in stratigraphy (Geology ) from the University of Pittsburgh, USA. Research interest is focused on petroleum geology and stratigraphy of Kurdistan oil fields especially the foreland basin sequence of NE Iraq.

Academic Philosophy

My basic philosophical approaches in teaching are focused on:

  1. Any sort of discrimination among the educational community shall be voided.

  2. The students are the center of our education system, we all must focus on student-centered activities and students' capability development.

  3. A dual instruction approach is currently used: distant e-learning is blended with in-classroom lecturing as a modern instrument of learning and convenient for the world's current health situation.

  4. Students are the objectives of the whole educational process.

  5. Our specific teaching methodology, especially in our applied discipline (Petroleum Engineering) is actually focused on the development of students' practical skills in the field, in labs, and in- class to acquire professional education.
