Ali Yaseen is one of the first faculty members at KUST Pharmacy Department. He is a registered pharmacist in Kurdistan since 2007 with and experienced in community pharmacy and pharmaceutical care. He works in academia since 2012.

He studied BSc in Pharmacy from Hawler Medical University and finished as a top ten students. He worked as laboratory assistant at the College of Pharmacy, University of Sulaimani. Then he gained scholarship to study MSc in Industrial Pharmaceutical Sciences from University of Brighton, UK and passed Distinction. Since 2012, he has been assistant lecturer of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Sulaimani.

In 2018 , he joined Komar as a faculty member at pharmacy department of Komar University of Science and Technology. He worked on developing the curriculum of pharmacy degree. He participated in the establishments of the brand new laboratories of pharmacy department. He also led the department to be a Member of International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).
