Deacon Ferdie Gayos
Deacon Ferdinand Gayos is a permanent deacon serving at St Patrick Catholic church, ordained on November18, 2023. He is deeply involved in pastoral and palliative care, walking with individual and families through illness, grief and life transition with compassion and hope.
He uses his ministry to integrate Scriptures, Catholic tradition and lived experience, helping people encounter Christ in the ordinary and sacred moments of daily life.
The faith director is appointed by the grand knight and reports to the program director. Responsible for all faith-based council programs. He should develop relationships with other catholic student center ministries to advance the needs of the whole campus ministry community at the pastor’s direction.
The trustees advise the grand knight, supervise the councils's financial matters, and conduct semiannual audits. Usually the immediate past grand knights will serve as as trustee . Some college councils utilize alumni members and / or university faculty members as the other two trustee to provide additional oversights and support.
