EXPECTATIONS
BE ON TIME. We will start practice at 3:30 each day unless you are notified.
BE RESPONSIBLE. If you cannot attend practice, will be late for practice, or are unable to attend a meet, please let the coach know IN ADVANCE!
WORK HARD. We will work to improve daily. Set individual goals for yourselves and strive to reach them. Give your best in practice and meets.
CONCENTRATE. Much of golf is mental. To improve, you must concentrate in all aspects.
BE POSITIVE. The NEXT shot is the MOST important one. If you make a mistake, concentrate on the next shot. NO put-downs. Encourage your teammates at all times.
DIET AND REST. Get plenty of rest, eat right, and drink plenty of water especially early in the season.
HAVE FUN!! This is a life long sport, get a head start and enjoy the season!!
OTHER ITEMS CONCERNING GIRLS GOLF
All golf team members will park on the East end of the parking lot.
You are financially responsible for any damages your golf ball/golf club causes to cars, windows, or people on the road or in the parking lots.
Players must remain at practice the entire time designated by the coach. If a player needs to leave early, clear it with the coach BEFORE practice.
Any UNEXCUSED practices will result in a player missing the next golf meet. Two unexcused practices will result in dismissal from the team.
Accept coaching. When a coach is working with you, be receptive. Respect the information the coach is delivering to you and your teammates.
Wear proper attire to practice. Tennis shoes or golf shoes are required each day. (NO INAPPROPRIATE T/SHIRTS). Failure to wear proper attire will result in being sent home.
Practice as much as you can on your own. During the season, the Eagles Pub and Golf Course is available to you any day and any time, as long as, there is not a tournament going on.
Play other courses on your own, if your schedule permits it.
The use and/or possession of alcohol, tobacco, or illicit drugs is inconsistent with athletic training. Violation of this will result in a player missing two golf meets. A second violation will result in dismissal from the team.
If a golfer has violated a team or school rule, which would cause dismissal from the team, a due process hearing may be held.
To earn a varsity letter, a player must participate in at least ½ of the total number of varsity meets or earn an individual medal in one varsity meet.
