Academic Profile of a Teaching Staff at Knowledge University
Fouad Rashid Omer
In 2010, I earned my BA degree from the English Language Program at Duhok University, College of Arts. I began teaching the English language the next year and continued doing so through 2015. In 2017, I graduated from Girne American University in Cyprus with an MA in English Language Education. During the same academic year, I worked as a part-time teacher at the English Language at the College of Education-Akre at Duhok University for two years. 2019 was the start of my studies for my PhD in English Language Teaching at Cyprus International University, which I am still pursuing. In the spring semester of 2020 and the fall semester of 2021, I worked as a part-time instructor in the English Language Department of the College of Arts at Cihan University-Duhok. In the spring of 2022, I transferred to Erbil where I taught in the same department. It is worth noting that I have taught General English to freshmen at a number of universities and colleges, including the Hospital Management Department at Bardarash Technical Institute, the Nursing Department at Akre Technical Institute, and the Horticulture Department at Duhok Polytechnic University-Akre. In 2022, I began my full-time employment as an instructor at Knowledge University in the department of English Language Teaching, where I am still employed now.
