We recruit and organize high school students to volunteer with elementary school after care programs in under-resourced and disadvantaged communities across the county.
Activities include helping with homework (especially reading and math), enrichment activities (including a Scratch computer programming course we developed and implemented using laptops donated by the community), and free play.
Typically, students volunteer one afternoon every week or every other week from about 3:45-5:45. The schedule is completely flexible, however. We work with nine after care programs across the county.
Here's a link to the Google Form where students can provide their contact information if they are interested in volunteering (or they can just email me or talk to me in school): Elsa Anderson elsagrayanderson@gmail.com

The Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for children who are very sick. Instead of staying overnight at a traditional hospital, the children’s family can stay at a Ronald McDonald House free of charge and be provided meals, comfortable living, and support from staff.
The Kentucky-Tennessee District Key Clubs are helping these children who are in need by collecting and donating essential, basic necessity items to those Ronald McDonald Houses. To achieve this goal, we have contacted the closest Ronald McDonald House to you and acquired their ‘wishlist’ which is a list of items they need the most. Your Ronald McDonald House needs the following items:
Cards, Condiments, Sugar, Cooking Spray, Heavy duty paper plates, Paper towels, LED light bulbs, Dryer sheets, Bleach, Dishwasher detergent, Disinfectant spray, Garabage bags.
