At Powell Middle School, the School Counseling Department is committed to supporting our students in their academic development, social and emotional development, and college and career readiness. The focus of the school counseling program is to help students be academically prepared for secondary and post-secondary education, to be well-adjusted members of society, to become life-long learners, and to become productive citizens.
School counselors are involved in many aspects of student support including individual and group counseling, academic planning and advising, and career exploration.

Mrs. Chopin serves 6th and 7th grades, and Mrs. Williamson works with 7th and 8th grades.
