Simon Youth Foundation Scholarship Information
Deadline for application: February 16, 2024 by 11:59p.m.
At least one scholarship per year is guaranteed; sometimes, 2 are awarded:
$3,500-$5,000 for four-year college/university (renewable)
$1,750 for two-year or trade school

TNPromise is a last-dollar scholarship that covers any tuition not covered by grants. However, it does NOT cover the cost of
Textbooks, tools, other materials
Additional student and campus fees
To be eligible, you must:
Be enrolled and graduating in Spring or Summer of 2024 from a Simon Youth Academy OR be a Fall 2023 graduate of a Simon Youth Academy.
KVA is a Simon Youth Academy, so ALL of you meet this requirement
Plan to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college, university, vocational training center, or polytechnic/trade school full-time in the Fall 2024 semester. OR…
Plan to enroll in a vocational program that lasts from 3-24 months that results in an industry recognized certification. For example, a state cosmetology license or an national EMS certification.
Attend your Simon Youth Academy graduation ceremony if you are selected as an Academy Scholarship recipient
Recipients of the scholarship will be notified on graduation day in May.
Application requirements:
Create an account at https://syf.org/scholarships
Complete the biographical information.
Upload high school transcripts (Mr. Montgomery can assist with this)
Submit a recommendation from someone who knows you (parent/teacher/coach)
Write two essays (500 words or less)
The essays are the most important part of the application! Do your best work on the essay portion!
