Media Center Collaboration
3.1 The LMS/LIS continuously provides cursory and in-depth assistance to teachers, as needed.
In February 28, 2022, we taught or led:
18 sessions of booktalks or speed dating with books. The majority of these classrooms were with English department colleagues, however, there are several classrooms in other disciplines that incorporate Daily Independent Reading (DIR) into their plans.
9 sessions of library instruction. These ranged from introducing students to Tennessee Electronic Databases (TEL), instruction on keyword development, advanced search techniques, and evaluating web sources.
*Note the numbers of classes and instruction we provide increases daily.
Librarians communicated news and updates to staff through newsletters from 2017-2020.
Due to a loss of access to our newsletter creation tool, we no longer communicate via newsletter. We also made this decision due to a low number of read counts.
