1. Return and Earn

Do you throw out plastic or glass bottles in the recycling bin? Return and Earn is a scheme that was set up by the NSW government to help with encouraging recycling. With every ELIGIBLE bottle you can earn 10c. All you have to do is go to the Return and Earn website click here to view , find your nearest drop off point and then take the bottles there! To find out if your plastic bottle, glass bottle, carton or can is eligible for drop off look at the side, the back, the top or the bottom of the container and look for wording similar to this '10c Refund at collection depots/points in participating state/territory of purchase', click here for a diagram. Once you have checked where your local drop off point is and if you have an eligible bottle all you have to do is go there and get your money or your Woolworths voucher!

2. Garage Sale Trail

4. Pen Recycling

If you are a student at Knox, you may have noticed that your SAO has a box with Pen Recycling on it. This is where you can put your pens, texters, MECHANICAL pencils, pen/marker lids, markers and highlighters which have run out of ink, you can also put the lids of these items if you find any. We will then take them in and have them recycled, this means that we will be stopping some plastic from going to landfill! The boxes are similar to the one on the left, however the looks will vary slightly.
