Homework: (forever!)
Plan, use, try! Stay in touch! katey.shirey@kstf.org
Homework: (due December 8)
Watch: IDEO Shopping Cart Project (23 minutes)
Reflect:
· What were the various roles of participation and facilitation in the IDEO shopping cart project? What engineering mindsets did you notice? What elements of math and or science content did you notice?
· For you, would you prefer starting with a four-phase activity or scaffolding the phases one at a time?
Prepare:
· How can you maintain an eye toward the entire engineering design cycle while conducting a one-phase activity?
· Work with your planning partner to solidify an idea for engineering design instruction and begin to prepare for its use in your class.
Homework: (due November 10)
CHANGED ON OCTOBER 29--Please think about the labs/lessons that you could "engineerize" and use for engineering design instruction later this year. You can use this tool to find lessons and labs that are ripe for engineerizing, they will involve students taking data, more than one possible valid outcome and meet your standards. Please bring some ideas in mind so we can match you with planning buddy in class next time.

Homework: Read and Reflect (due October 27)
Read one of the following based on your interest:
Reflect: (On the MfA web site group MfAEngineering_Lever/or the Forum here?)
How does the engineering design cycle you developed in class compare to that described in your reading? Is either one more or less right?
