I was accepted but have a conflict and cannot enroll in the cohort I applied for. Can I defer my acceptance?
- If you are not able to enroll in the cohort you applied for, we will be sending out payment links for each subsequent cohort via email. You will be able to enroll via that payment link.
I was accepted to the program and paid to enroll in my cohort. Can I switch to a later cohort without having to cancel my enrollment and re-apply?
- Students have seven (7) days from the start of each term to decide to switch to a later cohort. After seven (7) days, students cannot change their cohorts. Students can switch cohorts once only.
Can I get a refund for the program?
- Students have seven (7) days from the start of each term to cancel their enrollment for a full refund of his or her term payment. After seven (7) days, we cannot issue a refund for your term payment.
Where do I report issues with the classroom experience (videos, projects, etc.)?

Do I need to re-partition my machine with Ubuntu and install ROS (Robot Operating System)?
- No. The team will be providing a VM with ROS installed. You are welcome to perform your own install, but it is not necessary (nor will it be supported by Udacity).
I am unable to find the link for the virtual machine Udacity provided again. Would you happen to know the link?
- Please find the download of the virtual machine here. Note that the image is quite large (over 4GB so please adjust your time accordingly)
- Mentorship: Your In-Classroom Mentor is available via your mentor chat window in your Classroom. Your mentor will respond to your questions within 24 hours.
- Slack: The Robotics Slack community (udacity-robotics.slack.com) is primarily a peer-driven community for robotics enthusiasts. Udacity staff members do participate in the community Slack and are occasionally available for questions, but Slack is not an official support channel.
- Forums: Peer moderated forums for students. This is not supported by Udacity staff and will only be monitored to ensure no illegal or offensive materials are posted.
When will the first cohort of Term 2 start?
The first cohort of Term 2 opens on January 17th, 2018.
Am I eligible for the 50% Term 2 discount?
The Term 2 discount will be available through the end of March 2018. If you complete Term 1 and pay to enroll in Term 2 by the end of March 2018, you will receive the 50% discount.
How do I enroll in Term 2?
You can enroll in Term 2 via either the email you received with an enrollment link, or via the "Purchase" button in your Classroom.
How do I receive the educational discount on the TX2?
When you enroll in Term 2, you will receive an email with a Google form that you must fill out. We send form responses to NVIDIA once a week, and NVIDIA gets back to us with individual discount codes for each student. We then send those codes out via email.
How long will it take me to receive my discount code?
The time it takes for you to receive your code can vary, but students will usually receive their code within 2 weeks of filling out the form. If you have questions, please DM @gina.longo or email robond-support@udacity.com.
How long will it take me to receive my TX2?
Shipping times depend on your location and your shipping provider. Please direct any questions about shipping logistics or timelines to the your shipping provider.
Do I need the TX2 to complete the projects in Term 2?
No. All of the projects will be graded without the use of hardware, and you can successfully graduate from the program without working with the hardware. You will be able to do some extracurricular projects and activities with the TX2. Think of it like Udacity Explores, but projects you can do at home with your Jetson!
Our goal has been to make sure you have a seamless experience in Term 2 even without the TX2.
