Illness: Too sick to take part in normal school activities or needs more care than school staff can provide
Fever: Temperature over 100.4 - may return after 24 hours fever-free without medication.
Diarrhea: Stay home until 24 hours without diarrhea or cleared by a healthcare provider
Vomiting: Stay home until 24 hours since last episode, unless the cause is non-communicable and the student is well-hydrated.
Rash with fever: Return after a medical exam confirms it is not due to a communicable disease
Eye Drainage: Stay home for purulent (pus) drainage, eye pain, or fever; return when symptoms improve or cleared by a healthcare provider.
Head Lice: May return after one over-the-counter treatment and no live lice are seen. If sent home, must stay home he remainder of that day.
Sore Throat with Fever: Consult your doctor if your child has sudden severe sore throat with fever. If strep throat is diagnosed, return after 24 hours on antibiotics and when feeling better.
COVID: May return after 24 hours, as long as symptoms are improving and student is fever-free without medication.
