Artificial intelligence (hereinafter - AI) has gone beyond simple computer programming and acquired the characteristics of a social phenomenon. The transformative potential of artificial intelligence allows predicting a radical change in a significant part of social relations in the near future.
Already today, the rapid development of artificial intelligence as a socially significant phenomenon significantly affects human rights, intellectual property and legal liability. Changes in the way of life and work of large segments of the population will soon lead to the emergence of artificial marketers, lawyers, doctors, teachers, artists and others and will require comprehensive legal regulation of relations between owners of artificial intelligence, operators of artificial intelligence and consumers of artificial intelligence.
At the moment, legislative bodies and governments of many countries have implemented and continue to implement special regulatory acts aimed at legal support for the use of artificial intelligence. The European Union is the undisputed leader in shaping the legal landscape of AI application.
At the same time, the start of negotiations between the EU and Ukraine on Ukraine's accession to the European Union objectively calls for the need to synchronize EU and Ukrainian legislation in the field of artificial intelligence.
At the same time, the level of legal regulation of relations in the field of artificial intelligence in Ukraine is insufficient, and foreign language documents introduced into Ukrainian scientific circulation as sources of EU artificial intelligence law remain insufficiently studied.
Hence, an urgent scientific and practical task is to study the source base of EU artificial intelligence law, clarify the content and role of artificial intelligence law sources in the EU legal system, with the aim of developing proposals and recommendations for the compatibility of Ukrainian legislation in the field of artificial intelligence with the relevant legislation of the European Union.
