Activity 1 :

Card exchange 20th century engineering inventions.

It is a team activity in which each team was given set of cards which consist 20th century innovations, where we had to find duplicate ones and exchange it to the other teams. We could only exchange one card to one team and collect all  different 20 cards, it was a really helpful activity for a mind booster. The challenge we faced was time shortage. it was fun activity. 

ii. Bangalore sewage problem

• Root causes of the problem :

1. In the present days, we can see that Bangalore has been facing a lot of  environmental related problems and one among them is  sewage problems. The root causes are no proper sewage treatment plan and industries releasing harmful chemicals into the lakes. The possible solutions are planning a proper sewage treatment, imposing rules and regulations to the industries related to disposal of effluents into the water. Maintaining the lakes and cleaning it time to time. Here, we learn to use engineering skills to solve the leading problems which still exist in many parts of the world.  

iii. Engineering design need identification activity

Problem Definition:

Lift Overload is when a passenger lift is loaded with weight exceeding the manufacturer's rated capacity. Lift overload can cause improper functioning of lifts, hazards, and damage to the lift system. Overloading may cause the lift to fail and delay passengers.
