Problem Description :
The COVID-19 pandemic has created an unprecedented public health crisis, necessitating the rapid development and distribution of vaccines globally. However, the distribution and administration of these vaccines have not been uniform, resulting in significant disparities among different states and regions. In India, this issue is particularly pronounced, with varying vaccination rates and access across states. These disparities can be attributed to several factors, including logistical challenges, demographic differences, and varying levels of healthcare infrastructure.
The problem is further compounded by the urgency to vaccinate a large and diverse population efficiently to achieve herd immunity and curb the spread of the virus. Inequitable vaccine distribution leads to continued vulnerability in under-vaccinated regions, prolonging the pandemic's impact and exacerbating existing health inequities. Additionally, understanding the demographic trends and preferences for different vaccine types is crucial for optimizing vaccination strategies.
Our project aims to address these challenges by conducting a comprehensive statewise analysis of COVID-19 vaccination data in India. By identifying regional disparities, assessing vaccination rates, analyzing the distribution of different vaccine types, and understanding demographic trends, we aim to provide actionable insights that can inform public health strategies and improve vaccine deployment efforts .
