My name is Arun Gopal Sadalgekar and currently studying in 5th Sem - 2024 in SoCE at KLE Technological University. I am creating this portfolio for System Software Lab to showcase, what we have learned over the course of the term, and to reflect upon it. It is set up in a series of tabs that relate to either a learning target, a unit or another major area such as, "reflections".
System Software -
System software is a category of software that manages and controls computer hardware and software resources. It serves as the intermediary between the user and the machine, providing a user-friendly interface and efficient resource allocation.
System software plays a crucial role in enabling users to interact with computers effectively. It provides the foundation for running applications, managing files, and performing various tasks.
By understanding the principles of system software, programmers can develop more efficient and reliable applications.
The outcome of the System Software Course:
Describe the role of machine architecture and assembly programming in the design of system software.
Generate the object code, memory map and expanded code for a given source program.
Explain the data structures and algorithms used in the design and implementation of system software for SIC architecture.
Implement the system software for the SIC architecture, considering machine-dependent and independent features.
Develop system software for a specific real machine architecture, using its fundamental and unique features.
