We want to ensure that we continue to prioritize the care of our Klein Family in this difficult situation. If you, or someone you care about, are feeling overwhelmed with emotions like sadness, depression, or anxiety, you can call the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA’s) Disaster Distress Helpline: 1-800-985-5990 or text TalkWithUs to 66746. In addition, our health benefits provider can provide a Resources for Living toolkit with materials specifically developed for members experiencing anxiety related to COVID-19. Some other things you can do to support your mental health and wellness:
Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, including social media. Hearing about the pandemic repeatedly can be upsetting.
Take care of your body. Take deep breaths and stretch. Do your best to eat healthy, well-balanced meals, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep.
Make time to unwind. Try to do some activities you enjoy.
Connect with others. Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling.
Let’s continue to stay connected and support one another, and if you need any assistance, please use the form at kleinsisd.net/COVID19 for help.
