Path Next step (6th and 7th grade course) is an introductory class that does not offer a high school credit. However, the course prepares the students for the Path 1 course (an 8th grade only class) which is a high school credit. Path is an Advanced Academics course, so basic computer skills are recommended.
Path is a club that fosters personal growth to help propel students into a successful post secondary path. The club focuses on developing the student based on actions that they can acquire while they’re still in middle school that will grow them into successful college students. The club purpose is to provide information and assistance on topics such as: study skills, character education, making ethical and moral decisions, how to be a successful student, and more. The students also conduct an on campus community service project and embark on a college visit to Lone Star College!

Path 1 is a high school credit class, and includes a semester and Final exam. Student wishing to complete the high school credit should be willing to initiate and pace their own projects, and should be comfortable with self direction. Path 1 uses project based learning, and therefore, students who are interested should be willing to create and present products to show mastery of skills learned in class. Path is an Advanced Academics course, so basic computer skills are recommended.
