If you’re interested in Photoshop, illustration, photography, or video production, then DDMP is for you!
Digital Design & Media Production (DDMP) meets in a computer lab. Students will obtain hands-on experience working with a variety of media tools (graphics/images, audio, and video) to design multimedia projects. Students will learn various software programs, like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, and will utilize hardware devices like digital cameras and Wacom tablets. Many of the projects in DDMP include art principles, like color theory, typography and composition.
DDMP is a project-based course. Students are expected to follow along with written instructions and/or video tutorials to complete their work in the time allotted. Students enrolled in this course should have proficient keyboarding skills and have previous experience using computers.
Students are responsible for the costs of materials used in products they take home and other consumables.
This course is a full year high school credit course. Each semester must be passed independently to receive the full credit.
