How Parents Can Help at Home

There is so much that YOU can do to support us in our endeavor.

  • Show your child that school is important by reviewing his/her weekly folder, signing it and any papers that require signatures, and returning signed papers as soon as possible. Using the weekly folder or planner, help him/her set goals for the next week involving quality of work and work habits.

  • Establish a nightly routine that allows for homework, math facts, and reading. Review your child’s homework to see that it is complete and he/she understands the concepts.

  • Establish an age appropriate bedtime so they will be well rested and ready to learn at school each day.

  • Start each day on a positive note by encouraging, reassuring, and motivating your child to do his/her best at all times.

  • Establish a morning routine that includes a healthy breakfast, and helps ensure your child gets to school on time.

  • MAKE REGULAR SCHOOL ATTENDANCE A PRIORITY! Showing up is the first step to success! Regular attendance is one of the most important factors affecting your child’s success in school.

Thank you for all that you do every day that helps your child come to us physically, emotionally, and mentally prepared to learn. By working as partners we can provide your child with the best school experience possible.
