Hello Klein Forest Eagles!
My name is Courtney Cowger and I am the Dance 1 Teacher as well as the Assistant Director for the Goldduster Drill Team. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I started dance at the age of two at the Texas Academy of Dance and Twirl, and concluded my training at the Academy for Performing Arts. I have trained in most styles including Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Contemporary, Modern and many more. I was a 4 year member of the Magnolia High School Texas Star Dance team and served as a Military Officer for two years. I continued my dance education at Texas A&M University where I graduated in 2018 with a B.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Dance Science. While at Texas A&M I was given many opportunities to perform, including at the Ediburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Dance is my passion and has been ever since I put on my first pair of ballet shoes. I quickly fell in love with it. My love and passion for this art form is the reason I decided to become a teacher. I hope to pass on my love and passion for dance to my Klein Forest students. I hope they leave my class with a feeling of accomplishment and appreciation (and maybe a love) for dance. In my class we will work hard, have fun, and most importantly be able to safely express ourselves through movement.
Throughout the year if you have any questions or need anything do not hesitate to contact me! I am here to serve and aid my students in their journey to success!
I hope each and everyone of you has a wonderful and amazing year!
GO EAGLES & of course GIG 'EM!
-Ms. Cowger
