Returning KISD students must be in compliance with immunization requirements in order to attend
school.
All 7th grade students must turn in documentation of the Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines before starting their 7th grade school year.
New students to KISD shall consult with the school nurse to determine their immunization
status for enrollment.
Immunization rules are set by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and may
be changed at any time. DSHS rules are minimum standards and schools may have stricter
requirements. The school nurse will monitor and require immunizations up to 6 months before
the delinquent date.
