During the second semester, all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be using a program called Recorder Karate. This system uses an awards incentive program that encourages the students to learn and practice on their own. Students will earn colored karate "belts" and put them onto their recorders. They must follow the song/color sequence in order. 

• Each student will need his/her own recorder.  The recorder package can be purchased through School Cash for $10.00 by Feb. 9th.

  • Please consider buying two recorders so that your child may leave one recorder in the classroom and one at home for practicing. This way your child will not have to remember to bring the recorder back and forth.

  • Anyone with a financial need may email their music teacher with a request for a loaner recorder.
