There are five types of Immersion SAEs: 

Placement/ Internship 

• Working within an agriculture business (paid or Unpaid) to gain agriculture-related job experience. 

  • • Ex. Feed stores, Veterinary Clinics

Ownership/ Entrepreneurship

• You are the owner of an agricultural business. This is our largest category, offering the broadest range of options. 

  • • Ex. Livestock Projects, Horticulture Projects, Fruit Stands, Lawn Service

Research (Experimental, Analysis, or Invention)

• Completing and competing in Agri-Science Fair Projects 

  • Ex. Klein Show, HLSR, State convention

Service Learning 

• You help with service projects around the school and community. 

  • Ex. Memorial Garden Cleanup

School-Based Enterprise 

• You work on a project/business within the school/ program. 

  • Ex. Greenhouse, Floral Shop

Texas FFA Structure

FFA is broken into 12 Areas, each Area is broken into Districts, each District is comprised of various chapters.
