Welcome future Kleb choir students!

Mrs. McDonald and Ms. Scoggins are so excited to have some new Bearcubs join us in the choir room!

Are there requirements to joining choir?

There are no requirements! As long as you find joy in singing, you'll fit right in. Whether you have been in choir for years or are just finding your voice, we certainly have a place for you.

How many different choirs are at Kleb?

We currently have 7 choir classes at Kleb. They are separated into treble and tenor-bass choirs, but the boys and girls frequently perform together. The different groups are Chamber Treble, Chamber Tenor-Bass, Bel Canto Treble, Bella Voce Treble, Concert Tenor-Bass, and the 6th Grade Beginning choirs.

Participation in the Chamber groups requires an audition, but all the other courses are open without any audition necessary!

What kind of music do you perform in choir?

We perform all different varieties of music in choir! We start with learning basic choral techniques and developing those skills by studying a cappella music, folk songs, Latin text, and language pieces. We don't take everything seriously though! In the spring, we put on a big production with current popular hits and throwbacks. We think it is important to explore and study all different vocal models and techniques.
