Klein ISD is excited to announce their third "Girls in STEM" day on March 23, 2019.

All girls in grades 3-12 are invited to join "Girls in STEM" at Klein Cain High School. The day will feature amazing speakers eager to share their enthusiasm about their fields in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. In addition to speakers, girls will explore the hands-on, activity-filled Exploration Room and Klein's very own STEAM Express.

Parents are welcome to join the fun too! Specific sessions focused on helping them learn more about college preparation for their daughters will be offered for the parents. Parents can also attend panel sessions with their daughters.

We are happy to open to this event to students from surrounding districts for a small fee. Please see the registration page to register.

This event supports Klein's Promise2Purpose Vision and helps to close gaps that still exist in the STEM industry. Only 18.4% of engineering and 18% of the technology graduates in the United States are women. Women make up 25.8% of STEM workers in the United States, and the percentage is even lower at less than 10% for women in minority groups.
