Ms. Cowger was born in Houston, Texas but was raised in Magnolia, Texas. She started dancing at the age of two at the Texas Academy of Dance and Twirl, and concluded her studio training at the Academy for Performing Arts. She has trained in most styles including Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Contemporary, Modern and many more. She was a 4 year member of the Magnolia High School Texas Star Dance team and served as a Military Officer for two years. Her competitive career lasted for a total of 13 years in which she earned several titles. She has been named regional runner up and winner, state runner up and national runner up. She also represented Texas in the Miss Drill Team USA contest in California in 2013. After high school, she continued her dance education at Texas A&M University where she graduated in 2018 with a B.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Dance Science. While at Texas A&M, she was given many opportunities to perform, including at the Ediburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Dance is her passion and has been ever since she put on my first pair of ballet shoes. Her love and passion for this art form is the reason she decided to become a teacher. She hopes to pass on her love and passion for dance to her Klein Forest students. This is Ms. Cowger's sixth year at Klein Forest High School. Her first year she served as the Assistant Director for the Gold Revolution Dance Company and Outbreak Dance Crew.  Her second and third year she served as the Assistant Director for the Klein Forest Goldduster Drill Team. Now, she is the head director of the Klein Forest Dance Department and Goldduster Drill Team. Miss Cowger cannot wait to see all this year has in store for the dance department.
