Q: What is the cost of dual credit and/or college credit classes?
The dual credit tuition is $43 per credit hour.
A 3 credit hour DC class (ENGL, HIST, GOVT, etc.) will be $129 and 4 credit hour DC classes (BIOL, CHEM, etc.) be $176 per semester. In addition, each course will require text books (Star Bundle) at $21/credit hour. A 3 hour course will cost $192.00 and a 4-hour course will cost $276.00.

Q: How can I prepare for the TSI?
Q: I want to drop my dual credit class, what should I do?
A: Please contact your regular counselor and the dual credit counselor for Fall and Spring semester course drops. If this drop occurs during the summer, you must drop directly through Lone Star.
Q: What are the requirements to remain in the dual credit program?
A: Students who make a D or an F will not be able to remain the program.
Q: What happens if I make a D or F in my dual credit course?
A: If a student earns a D in a dual credit course he/she may receive high school credit, however the college credit may not transfer to another institution. This may result in the student needing to retake the college course to transfer the credit earned.
If a student earns an F in a dual credit course, he/she will not receive high school or college credit for the course.
If a student earns a D or an F, it will appear on your high school transcript.
Q: What are the consequences of dropping a Dual Credit course after the official drop date?
A: Withdrawals after the official drop-date may result in a student receiving an F on the student’s college transcript.
