How we support all students...

A School Counselor serves as a support person who works in partnership with all students, staff, and families to promote the academic, social and emotional growth of our students. We provide many different services throughout the school year including:

*teaching guidance lessons in the classroom

*seeing students on an individual basis

*working with students in small group

We are committed to helping students have a successful and positive school experience while attending Kaiser Elementary. Please let us know how we can make this year successful for your child.

"Social and emotional learning (SEL) is an integral part of education and human development. SEL is the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions." CASEL, 2020

"The CASEL 5 addresses five broad and interrelated areas of competence and highlights illustrative examples for each: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making." CASEL, 2020
