Welcome to 4th grade!
My name is MaryJo Garrington, and I am thrilled to be teaching 4th grade again this year at Frank Elementary. I am a California native, but Texas has been home for the past 24 years. I earned my degree from California State University, Fullerton. My husband and I recently celebrated our 25th anniversary. We have a 20-year-old daughter, a 15-year-old son, and 2 sweet (and very spoiled) dogs.
This will be my 16th year teaching and my 8th year in 4th grade. Fourth grade is definitely a happy place for me! I will teach math, science, and social studies. My teaching partner, Mrs. Meissner, will teach reading, writing, language arts, and social studies.
I am looking forward to getting to know my new 4th grade students! We will work together to create a classroom community that focuses on respect, kindness, and growth. My sincere hope is to foster a love of learning in my students while helping them realize that they can accomplish much by approaching learning opportunities with a growth mindset. I look forward to learning alongside them.
Please feel free to contact me by email with any questions, comments, or concerns. We are working together as a team to help our 4th graders learn and grow! Great things are happening at Frank Elementary!
