Each year, Student Council hosts Klein Cain's annual Homecoming! We prepare for the event weeks before and make sure everything is ready for the student body. From decor, food, down to the theme of the dance, all of stuco and our amazing members help make sure that hoco is a night to remember. We plan fun events leading up to the dance such as hoco carnival, homecoming game, and our dress up week. Our goal is to make sure everyone feels included and enjoy the dance together and of course, dance the night away!

Calling all Freshmen!! We know how scary it can be coming to a new school with many new people. In order to make incoming Freshmen feel more comfortable, stuco hosts a Freshmen Mixer every year for every incoming class! The theme is always tropical, to appreciate our "fishes" (freshmen). We provide music, food, games, and lots of fun for everyone to enjoy. Student Council is able to put this amazing event together for our awesome freshmen to have fun and get to know each other.
Fill The Stands was implicated by the 23-24 school year Cainiacs. Fill The Stands was a HUGE success, especially with the Varsity Boys Soccer Team! We were able to bring in the community and cheer on our amazing athletes, all while earning stuco points 😉. Stuco was able to show some support and love for our athletes by having at least one Fill The Stands game for our winter, and spring sports. We even have point opportunities for members who made spirit posters for the game!
Workshops and Conventions are by far the most favored part of Student Council. Klein Cain Stuco is grateful to be apart of TASC and District 713. What does that mean? It means we are able to attend workshops and conventions within this organization. Life long leadership skills and friends are found at these events. You're able to collaborate with different schools and take away new creative ideas for your own council. This is a wonderful environment to be apart of because you get to experience leadership, collaboration, teamwork, and communication, all while having the time of your life. If this is something that interests you, make sure you stay an active member (all year long) and become apart of the executive board. You dont have to be apart of the executive board in order to attend these trips, (but it does increase your chances of going) you just have to be a top point earner!
The day before Christmas break Student Council hosts a Teacher Luncheon, and serves all the faculty and staff Olive Garden. This is a great way to bring in all the staff to socialize, while thanking them for their impact on the student body.
Student Council regularly engages in Community Service in and outside of school. We want to create a welcoming environment within our school for students and staff. But we also want to do our part by engaging in community service outside of school, like volunteering at at our feeder elementary schools.
Kindness Week was started a few years ago, and every year it's a huge success! We have a week full of dress up days, lunch activities, and more! We partner with Fiiz to create a drink centered around the week, last year our drink was called "sunset sweetness". When you order a drink, it'll come with a unique handwritten kind message made by an executive board member. Another campus favorite is Cupcake Friday. To end off the week, student council serves cupcakes donated from members (point opportunity 😉) at all lunches. The overall goal of Kindness Week is to radiate kindness all around and throughout the campus(and of course to remind people to be kind to one another).
Cancer Week is one of our newer, yet most meaningful traditions! Throughout the week, we encourage students to participate in dress-up days and lunch activities to raise awareness for various types of cancer. At the end of the week, we partnered with the Cosmetology department and hosted an event where students were able to donate their hair to wigs for cancer patients.
Earth Week is to inspire others to care deeply for our planet by spreading awareness. We have dress up days, lunch activities and a scavenger hunt (worth points 😉) to promote sustainability and recycling.
We host Socials throughout the school year to ensure connectivity within the council. Our most popular socials are, District 249, Thanksgiving Potluck and our Winter Social!
Student Council assists in hosting sporadic Pep Rallies throughout the year to promote school spirit among our student body. They consist of competitions, games, and performances from both Cheer and Legacies. Additionally, our marching band performs our fight song and other pieces throughout the pep rally.
Towards the end of the year, we host our annual Lock-In, where our council stays after school until 9pm playing games and having tons of fun. Our favorites are hide-and-seek around the school and blind karaoke. This is definitely one of our favorite ways to end off the school year!
Cain Stuco participates in a gift exchange called GSL, which stands for Great Sportsman Leadership. This is a great way to connect with other Councils in the surrounding area all while spreading kindness. This is a tradition that our Council plans to continue for years to come!
