GRADES ARE INPUT AS A NUMBER, BUT TRANSLATE TO E,S,N,U. GRADES ARE INPUT BUT ARE NOT FINALIZED UNTIL REPORT CARDS ARE OUT - SUBJECT TO CHANGE UNTIL THEN.
KOL - Klein OnLine Students:
I do not 'grade' artwork - but rather give a grade on participation. Have you attended Zoom lessons? Have you been kept your camera on during a Zoom? Have you been working? When asked to submit artwork, have you? Conduct is based on the same criteria.
Zoom attendance affects a grade: Attends 4+ zooms=E, 2-3 zooms=S, 1=N , 0=U (subject to change)
My goal in art is to expose students to a variety of artists, art mediums and art processes. There is no “right” way art should look. However, each project has required elements that I set and explain to students. If students participate in making art and learning about art while displaying a positive attitude and meeting required elements of an assignment, I consider their involvement with art a success.
Art Conduct grades are given every nine weeks along with project grades. Conduct grades are based on a students behavior in class. Disrespect (talking back, making fun of others, rudeness, talking about others, disturbing others, gossiping are all forms of disrespect) towards myself or other students results in lowering a conduct grade to an "N". Art grades are given every nine weeks and are based on the above criteria as well as the following project guidelines:
