The Klein ISD Career & Technical Education Programs complement and enhance academic preparation by enabling students to apply academic principles and technical skills essential to career success. CTE allows students to see the relevance of their academic preparation to their future career goals. Our programs of study include coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant career technical content.


Here at Kleb Intermediate, we offer a wide range of CTE programs for students to discover pathways for their bright future! Below are our amazing teachers and the classes that they teach.

Mr. Williams, M.Ed.:

  • Digital Design & Media Production (DDMP): An introductory & intermediate level graphic arts, photography, and multimedia (audio and visual) production course focusing on real-world audiences and industry-standard practices. Major projects include the design of the Memory Book cover, the creation of the STEAM Express station posters (district recognized), and the building of a business image.

  • Fundamentals of Computer Science (FunCS): An introductory course focusing on multiple programming languages and researching relating growing careers.

  • Gateway to Coding (GTC): Students learn to block code. They will code a micro:bit to create movement, sounds, lights. They will also code a working android app.


Mrs. Smith:

  • Principles of Human Services (PHS): Principles of Human Services is a laboratory course that will enable students to investigate careers in the Human Services Career Cluster, including counseling and mental health, early childhood development, family and community, personal care, and consumer services.

Mrs. Kurihara:

  • Touch System Data Entry (TSDE): Focuses on Keyboarding technique and word processing

  • Principles of Information Technology (PIT): Students will develop basic computer literacy skills including, word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, databases, computer programming, computer hardware & software, & emerging technology

  • Principles of Business, Marketing, and Finance (PBMF): Students will learn basic principles and concepts about business, marketing, and finance

Mr. Gist:

  • Gateway to STEM: This course consists of three units of STEM related content from the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum. The units to be explored are Design & Modeling, Automation & Robotics, and Magic of Electrons.
