We would like to inform you about the upcoming Language Competition (Bahasa/ Mandarin/ Spanish). An audition will be conducted to select suitable students to represent the school. Students are required to upload their audition video via the Google Form provided [here].
After the selection, we will inform the successful students and begin guiding and preparing them for the competition. The competition topic and full details can be referred to via the link attached [here].

Our Chinese New Year celebration was a wonderful success on Friday 13th February, filled with festive decorations, lively performances, and happy moments. The school was beautifully adorned with lanterns, setting the perfect scene for the celebration. Students performed with confidence and passion, making the event both entertaining and meaningful. It was a day of joy, cultural appreciation, and togetherness that we will always remember.

Contest Requirements:
Cards should not be in the form of a box or oversized/irregular shapes.
Creative designs are encouraged, including pop-up or 3D elements.
The card must include Chinese New Year wishes written in Mandarin.
Submission Details:
Deadline: Friday, 6 February 2026
Please submit the completed greeting card design to the Mandarin teacher.
The HSK and YCT certificates will be distributed by the respective Mandarin teachers.
Year 7 students will collect their certificates from their Year 7 Mandarin teachers.

Please be informed that the school will conduct the HSK Examination for Year 6 students on 18th October 2025 (Saturday). The venue will be Taylor’s International School, Kuala Lumpur (TISKL). Students should dress appropriately for the exam. Kindly take note of the important details below:

Admission ticket
Jacket (if needed)
Parents are requested to ensure that their children arrive on time and are picked up promptly after the examination.

6th–10th October 2025: Chinese Riddles
Students can take part in a fun riddle challenge and claim rewards. Details will be shared by the Mandarin teachers, and posters are already displayed on the noticeboard. POSTER LINK
10th October 2025 (KS1 only), 10:50–11:50 AM: Lantern Walk & Mooncake Tasting
KS1 students will join a lantern walk while wearing traditional costumes and carrying their own lanterns (no real candles). After the walk, there will be a mooncake tasting session. Students are encouraged to bring Halal mooncakes to share with their friends.
20th October 2025 (All Year Groups): Digital Video Story Competition
This year’s digital story competition invites students to create a short video (max 2 mins) and upload it to Padlet. Full details can be found in the attached poster. Deadline: 20th October 2025. POSTER LINK

What an incredible achievement by our primary students! On 25th May 2025, they proudly represented our school at a regional inter-school
language competition, competing against students from 31 schools in the

HSK YCT Results
HSK / YCT result is out. The test takers can check test result through the official website of www.chinesetest.cn with their admission ticket number and name.
Best wishes to all the students from Y6 who sat for their HSK exams last Saturday.
The HSK exams are chinese proficiency tests that are recognised around the world - all of our Y6 students are invited to sit for them. Previous years have seen excellent results from our students and we look forward to hearing how this cohort have performed!

The reporting time for all students on the day of the examination is stated below. Parents are requested to drop off and pick up their children as per the given schedule.

Mandarin Exam Success
Congratulation to our former Y6 students (and their teachers!) for the excellent results from the HSK and YCT tests. 105 children (out of 106) passed the test and 12 students managed to achieve full marks! Here is a picture of the now Y7 students who got full marks receiving their certificates in assembly on Friday.
We would like to inform you that the HSK or YCT certificates for year 7 students are now available. If your child has already left school and you wish to obtain their certificate, please email to Ms Jess at lim.yuhlian@kl.tis.edu.my.

for Malaysian Primary School Students
To provide a stage for Malaysian primary school students who have learned Chinese to demonstrate their Chinese language proficiency, stimulate their interest in learning Chinese, and lay a good foundation for continuous Chinese learning, the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Malaysia and Kong Zi Institute Universiti Malaya is going to hold the 3rd Chinese-Bridge Chinese Show for Malaysian primary school students on May 20, 2023.
