Applications are now open for the Early Career Travel Grant to attend the NTDASIA2025 Conference at Khon Kaen, Thailand, 27-28 Nov 2025. The Grant is provided by the National University of Singapore (NUS) Office of Global Health Capacity Building Fund. The aim is to support emerging researchers in the field of NTD whose work are related to systems thinking for global health, integration of biomedical and social sciences for sustainable intervention, and/or innovative approaches to translate science into practice. The successful applicants will receive financial assistance to cover air fare and accommodation expenses.
Eligibility Criteria:
a. Be within 6 years of graduation from their PhD, and currently holds a
research or faculty position; or PhD candidates who have passed
their qualifying exams.
b. Be a citizen of an ASEAN member state.
c. Currently resides in Asia.
d. Present at the conference.
Application materials:
To apply, please prepare and submit the following documents:
a. An extended abstract of 500 words.
b. A cover letter to indicate how your work will contribute to the conference theme.
c. A supporting letter from your institute; for PhD candidates, the letter should be from the thesis advisor. The supporting letter should verify the applicant’s career stage.
Please note that airfare will only cover the most direct and economical economy-class flight. Successful applicants are expected to submit a full paper later to a special issue co-edited by the conference organizing committee. All application materials must be submitted by 5 November 2025 to Associate Professor Yi-Chen Wang, NUS (geowyc@nus.edu.sg), with email subject “NTDAsia 2025 Early Career Travel Grant”.
