Zachary Taylor Stoddard was born on August 23, 1989, to Veldon and Samantha Stoddard. He earned a degree in Psychology from Georgia State University and, though he has passed away, his legacy lives on. His passion for music was unmistakable—even before college, he was an enthusiastic member of his high school marching band, a commitment that flourished during his years at Georgia State University. In 2011, he played a pivotal role in founding the Nu Alpha chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi; National Honorary Band Fraternity, where he created cherished memories and forged lifelong bonds. His dedication was formally recognized in 2017 when he received the J. Lee Burke Outstanding Student Leadership Award.
Zachary embraced every opportunity to live life fully. He traveled widely with his fraternity brothers, sharing his vibrant spirit on stages that ranged from President Barack Obama’s second inauguration in 2012 to the Super Bowl LIII halftime show in 2019. Always capturing moments through his photography, he lived boldly and authentically. His fearless determination and unwavering strength allowed him to overcome life’s challenges, never letting Asperger’s limit his ambitions.
Even though Zachary is no longer with us, his vibrant spirit endures—a timeless beacon of love, courage, and joy lighting our way every day.
