The Midwest District of Kappa Kappa Psi aims to promote college bands across the entire Midwest District. From Montana to Missouri, Minnesota to Colorado, the Midwest District covers 21 chapters across 9 states. The Midwest District Council helps supports chapters by connecting brothers from around the district and being a connection between local chapters and the greater national fraternity.

Hello, my name is Caleb Blair! I am a fourth-year student at the University of South Dakota majoring in Medical Biology and minoring in Music and Psychology. At USD, I serve as a Sound of USD Alto Saxophone Section Leader, a member of the Coyote Pep Band, and a member of our Jazz 2 and Concert bands. 

I currently serve as the Secretary for the Beta Epsilon chapter. Outside of KKPsi, I serve as the president of the Honors Peer Mentor program and Vice President for USD’s Admission Ambassador program.

Hi! My name is Ali Nielsen from the Epsilon Psi Chapter at Missouri State University, Bo Gears! At Missouri State University I am a senior studying wildlife biology with a certificate in environmental education. I play clarinet in the marching band, concert band, bearmania, and whatever Kappa Kappa Psi ensembles we make over the course of the year. 

At my chapter I have been serving as the service committee chair since 2024, this year it will be co-chair, and I previously served as the chapter VPME and membership committee chair. Other activities I am involved with include being the vice president of the Society of Science Educators and horseback riding.

Hello, my name is Avery Norton, and I am a 4th-year chemical engineering major at Kansas State University.

I have been a part of the Epsilon Pi chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi since 2024 and have been chapter treasurer for two terms. I am active in the Kansas State Pride of Wildcat Land Marching Band as an Alto Saxophone player and also participate in the University’s Basketball Band (Cat Band). Over my time in Kappa Kappa Psi, I have helped my chapter budget and fundraise using the Marching Band merch store at Kansas State University.

Hi brothers! My name is Michelle Blackburn, and I am a third-year student at the University of Kansas, studying political science and communication studies on the pre-law track. I play the sousaphone in the KU Basketball Band and the Marching Jayhawks, where I am an equipment manager and a rank leader. 

While in Kappa Kappa Psi, I served as the Alumni Liaison and am currently the Secretary for the Eta Zeta chapter. I am so excited to give back to the Midwest District during my time as your Vice President for Programs and Outreach!
