North Central District Intercollegiate Band

The North Central District Intercollegiate Band (NCDIB) was founded in 2008 and has since become a staple program with North Central District Conventions.  Like the National Intercollegiate Band hosted at National Conventions, the NCDIB is composed of collegiate musicians from across the NCD.  The ensemble will meet, rehearse, and perform during the NCD Convention 

The NCDIB is open to all collegiate musicians and alumni within the North Central District.  Membership in Kappa Kappa Psi or Tau Beta Sigma is not required, but all convention attendees are encouraged to participate!

Registration Process:

To register, you must:

1. Be a current college student or alumni 

2. If sections reach capacity, current students will take priority over alumni

3. Register for the NCDIB as a part of your convention registration.

To participate, you must:

1. Be available to travel to and from NCD Convention

   • Percussionists will be required to bring all sticks and mallets for the music they are assigned.

   • We will do our best to accommodate instrument requests, but we can not guarantee it. 

2. Be available to rehearse before/during NCD Convention

3. Be available to perform at NCD Covention

Placement in the NCDIB will be announced before the week of NCD Convention, with more details for participants.
