◽ Encourage students to be creative, however warn them that creative does not mean complicated! (Some probabilities of winning/losing were almost impossible to calculate!)
◽ You may have to get permission from administration to run a "Carnival" or "Casino" style day. We used bingo chips and students were able to 'buy' extra credit (0.5 points max) on the test for every 10 bingo chips they had at the end of the carnival day.
◽ This project takes the longest and requires a lot of in class discussion. To support this, I do an entire unit as a flipped model (backwards).
◽Some games fell a part by the end of Carnival so remind students that the model has to be sustainable after many trials.
