  • AIM : Students will design a website that will help viewers and potential buyers determine if they want to invest in a car, bank, or house.

  • ⓣ: Students will use DESMOS Graphing Calculator to help them graph the model of their investment over time . Students will build websites to showcase their understanding.

  • ⓐ ⓜ : Students will use their applied mathematics skills to model the value of the investment over time.

Teacher Notes

◽ I randomly assign the project type to groups of students, no more than 2 repetitions of assignment type in the same class.

◽ During the presentation, students are to fill out their "other" worksheets and for homework they are to find any missing information by revisiting their peers links, then they are to rate their peers website.

◽ 2 days are spent in class on research

◽ The hardest research is the "banks" investment section. Support your students with their questions about APR and alternative accounts with high interest. (CDs etc).
