In 1983, a vibrant team of leading Industrialists, Architects, Eminent Educationalist with local base, international access & global vision got together to give concrete shape to their dreams. That’s how Kolhapur Institute of Technology’s College of Engineering was born in 1983. KITCoE is one among the first Engineering institutes in Maharashtra started on no grant/self financed basis. Institute is currently offering 8 Under Graduate & 5 Post Graduates programs with yearly intake of 800 + and total strength of 3000 + students. institute isaccredited with ‘A’ Grade with CGPA 3.12 by NAAC, Bengaluru.

Understanding the need of time to transform job seekers to job creators, management has proactively initiated entrepreneurial skill development initiative on campus since last 3 years. The positive outcome has naturally resulted in establishment of self-sustainable incubation center on the campus through linkages with Shivaji University, Samruddhi TBI Foundation and Singapore Polytechnic Spin-Off Center. Currently 2 groups of faculty and students initiated and 3 industry initiated business ideas are getting currently nurtured on the campus through our dedicated more than 30,000 sq. ft. of space.

Who we are
KITE (KIT’s Incubation for Technology Entrepreneurship) for development entrepreneurship and nurturing technology start-ups. It administers a business incubator which provides ‘Start to scale’ support for technology based entrepreneurship, infrastructure and facilitates the conversion of student’s projects and research activities into entrepreneurial ventures.
Under the umbrella of KITE we have three Horizontal Thematic Areas that includes ED cell, Incubation start-ups and business clubs will support the eight vertical programme thematic areas ( Mech, Biotech, Civil, Env, Computer, Electronics, E&TC, Electrical) and developed the IIL Business to be a well-structured and advanced business
