Lawrence Yamber was born September 14th, 1934 in East Vandergrift PA. He served in the Korean war as a marine, and his rank was a Sergeant. He was 19 when he enlisted in the war on July 22nd, 1953 and was 22 when he ended his career as a marine on July 21st, 1956. His unit was the H. S. Company, 6th Marines, and H. S. Company 12th Marines. During his service time, he won the Good Conduct Medal. Lawrence Yamber served in Japan and Okinawa during his military enlistment and serves as a Commander of the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard. He is currently 83 today and still living in the small town of Vandergrift Pennsylvania.
