William J. Rudolph

William was born in Leechburg, PA on September 22, 1922. And died on January 2, 2008. He is buried in Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell. He served in the Air Force as a technical sergeant, top gunner, and flight engineer on a B-24 Liberator. He was stationed in North Africa and Italy as a member of 451 Bomber Group. William had flown over the required amount of missions, 54. He was shot down in Yugoslavia, but was awarded with a Purple Heart. He also received the United States Air Force Air Medal. 

William lived in Allegheny Township for most of his life. Along by his side was his wife of 59 years, Annabell Bence Rudolph. He had two sons, William J. Rudolph II, and David Rudolph. William also had two daughters, Marianne, and Debby. He had 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He also had a sister, Norma. 

He was the owner of R&L Industries for 20 years. William was also a co founder for a program at Westmoreland Community College. It was the welding engineering technology program. 

William J. Rudolph was a very good man. He was very involved in the community. He graduated from Vandergrift High School. William also graduated from Jefferson College in Washington, PA. William will always be remembered for all the outstanding things he has done for everyone.
