Walter Barry Heddinger Sr

Walter Barry Heddinger Sr. was best known by his friends and family as Barry. He lived in Parks Township all of his life. He joined the Marine Corps in hopes to fight for the country, but ended up serving during peacetime. In the military he worked as a cook during his service years until he returned home and worked as a security guard at the steel mill in Vandergrift. He eventually retired and worked at Pugliese's Flower shop until he battled terminal liver cancer. He passed away on August 2, 2001 at the age of 65, survived by his beloved wife Shirley, son Barry, and daughters Jeanni Ferraro and Cheryl Koontz.
