Verle J Coleman, Jr
Verle J. Coleman Jr., 83, of Vandergrift, died Thursday, July 4, 2013, in the Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot. Born Dec. 15, 1929, he was a son of the late Verle J. and Grace Coleman. Verle had served in the Army and the Army Reserves, retiring as a captain in 1968, and was company commander of Army Reserves Company B, Ford City. He had been employed by Local No. 66, International Union of Operating Engineers until his retirement in 1992. A member of the Kiskiminetas Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons No. 617, Syria Shrine, Pittsburgh Consistory, Vandergrift Fourth of July Committee, Vandergrift Borough Council and the Vandergrift VFW, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
