Joseph Vereb was born on February 8, 1929. After his birth, his family moved to the Slovak Republic, Hungary, where Joseph received his education. Joseph then returned to the United States in 1949. Joseph Vereb served in the U.S. Air Force in 1954 and had duty assignments as an Airman 3rd Class attached to the 3574th Flight Line Maintenance Squadron during the stages of the Korean War. Joseph was also the recipient of the National Service Defense Medal.
