Stanley Szymanski
Stanley Szymanski served in the armed services during the Korean War. He is famous in the A-K Valley for his baseball playing year at Vandergrift High School. When he played on the Vandergrift High School team they were back-to-back WPIAL Champions in 1948-49. While playing the North Vandergrift Indians they won six Valley Baseball Championships. He also coached Freeport youth baseball for 15 years. He was inducted into the Armstrong County Hall of Fame on April 25 2004.
